Toyota has released today the first Toyota FT-86 II Concept teaser image and announced that it hints at its future sports car. Toyota also announced that the Toyota FT-86 II Concept will have its world premiere at the 2011 Geneva auto show displaying an evolution of the original concept. The first Toyota FT-86 Concept had its world debut at the Tokyo motor show back in 2009.
Although no actual details of the Toyota FT-86 II Concept have been revealed yet, the car maker does mention it represents the company's reborn passion for sports car driving.
To make a few speculations, we believe the Toyota FT-86 II Concept will be powered by the same
2.0-liter four-cylinder naturally-aspirated boxer engine as the previous version. This engine, which might power the Toyota FT-86 II Concept, was developed in collaboration with Subaru, a company that has a long experience in building horizontally-opposed motors.
We'll have more details on the Toyota FT-86 II Concept as soon as they're available.
