This new video surfaced the web today, showing the latest M car, the BMW 1 Series M coupe in a battle against the mighty BMW M3 CSL E46. the race takes place on the Nurburgring Nordschleife race track in Germany. The clip was filmed from inside the 1 Series M as it was taunting the modified CSL. According to the clip's description, the M3 CSL had a roll cage and racing bucket seats, big brakes, and a lightweight exhausts system. Apparently, the CSL was running on Michelin PilotSport Cup tires.
The BMW 1 Series M is completely standard, or so does the video's description say. This means it has a 3.0-liter 6-cylinder engine developing 335 hp and 450 Nm of torque. BMW's official numbers say that the 1 Series M is able to get from 0 to 62 mph in 4.9 seconds.
The driver of the 1 Series M also say he has managed a lap time around "The Green Hell" of 8 minutes and 15 seconds.
