Ford Performance Vehicles has launched in Australia the 2011 FPV GT which is the first ever supercharged GT range ever. The new 2011 FPV GT model line-up, which includes the GT-P and GT E, is powered by all-aluminum 5.0 liter supercharged V8 with double overhead cams and a 32 valves configuration that develops 335kW and 570 Nm of torque. Apart from being more powerful, the new engine under the hood of the 2011 FPV GT is also 47kg lighter than the current one. The 2011 FPV GT is the most powerful GT in the history.

Apart from the new engine, the 2011 FPV GT also comes with distinctive new body graphics, including a hockey stick stripe package and Boss 335 identification. The 2011 FPV GT is marked with the Boss brand as a tribute to the 1970 Boss Mustang.

Although the company says we will not be disappointed by the performance of the 2011 FPV GT they don't revealed any figures. However, they do say each engine will be individually hand-built for each 2011 FPV GT and that the new version is Euro IV compliant.

The 2011 FPV GT sits on an improved suspension system, 19 inch alloys and comes with a new exhaust system. The 2011 FPV GT price list has not been announced yet.
