The world premiere of the new 2016 Ford GT took place today during the opening of the 2015 North American International Auto Show. The 2016 Ford GT's price list has not been announced yet, but the Blue Oval plans to launch it into production towards the end of this year. According to the official specifications, the 2016 Ford GT is powered by a twin-turbo V6 EcoBoost engine that develops more than 600 hp. The new Ford GT (2016) continues to come with a mid-engine rear-wheel-drive architecture. The 2016 Ford GT's equipment list includes 20-inch alloys with special Michelin Pilot Super Sport Cup 2 tires, a dual-clutch 7-speed transaxle transmission, an F1-inspired steering wheel and a fully configurable digital instrument cluster.

Some of the distinctive features of the new Ford GT (2016) include scissor doors, a carbon fiber passenger cell, an active rear spoiler, aluminum front and rear subframes and carbon fiber body panels. Here are the full specifications of the new 2016 Ford GT.
