Ford GT Comes Back In 2016

 »  »  »

The Ford GT is one of the icons of the automotive world. It was originally built (the Ford GT40) to beat Ferrari at Le Mans. Various sources are reporting that Ford is planning to bring it back in 2016. To keep in line with the supercars heritage, Ford also plans to throw it again in the Le Mans battle too. Currently, the exact specifications of the 2016 Ford GT are a closely guarded secret. However, some speculate that the future Ford GT is going to be powered by a 3.5-liter turbocharged EcoBoost V6 engine. Yes, we know this is a small engine for the GT, but don't despair just yet. This is going to be the Le Mans racing version. The street legal version of the 2016 Ford GT is going to be powered by a 5.2-liter V8 engine, which is expected to deliver more than 600 horsepower and close to 700 Nm of torque.

We'll have more details regarding the future Ford GT as soon as they're available.
