New Ford GT info has surfaced the web as various rumors indicate that the blue Oval is considering bringing it back. Apparently the manufacturer wants a new version of the Ford GT, which was first launched back in the 1960s. Back then, the Ford GT40 won the 24 hours of Le Mans four times in a row. The Ford GT40 was built with the sole purpose in mind the defeat Ferrari at Le Mans.
In 2003 Ford brought it back in the form of the Ford GT, which also celebrated the company's 100th anniversary.
Various sources inside the company are suggesting that now, the management is considering developing a Ford GT halo car. The new Ford GT will be built in limited numbers and will be priced with exclusivity in mind...
The new Ford GT is expected to be what the GT was never meant to be... green and fuel efficient. Apparently, the company wants to change the image of the Ford GT into a green, maybe electric performance vehicle.
