GM premiered yesterday the new 2012 Chevrolet Cobalt Concept at the Buenos Aires International Auto show. Chevrolet says that the development of the 2012 Cobalt Concept revealed the importance of interior space. This means that the production version of the new Cobalt will probably offer more of it. The new 2012 Chevy Cobalt was designed to satisfy a variety of markets, and to offer plenty of comfort and luggage space for medium to long trips.

Chevrolet equips the 2012 Cobalt concept with double headlights, LED fog lamps, and what seem to be LED taillamps. The concept of the 2012 Chevy Cobalt features a panoramic glass roof, which might not make its way into the production model.

However, it might be offered as an optional extra. The 2012 Cobalt also features an interior ambient lighting system, with blue LED strips, that are meant to give a feeling of increased space.

Chevrolet says it will sell the 2012 Cobalt with a range of 1.3-liter and 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engines, and with a choice between manual and automatic transmissions. The 2012 Chevrolet Cobalt will also come with Flex Fuel gasoline engines and with diesel units.

We'll have more details on the 2012 Chevrolet Cobalt as soon as they're available.
