Chevrolet introduced at this year's LA auto show the new Colorado ZR2 concept, which previews a future, hard-core off-road version of the pick-up truck. The Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 is powered by a 2.8-liter Duramax diesel engine that delivers 181 hp at 3,400 rpm and 369 lb-ft of torque at 2,000 rpm. Chevy's Colorado ZR2 is four inches wider that the regular version of the pickup truck. It comes with more rugged front and rear fascias, increased approach (30.7 degrees) and departure (22.7 degrees) angles, a wider track, a two-inch lift and integral skid plates. It features 18-inch alloys, flip-out aluminum tow hooks and a winch. The equipment list of the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 includes King mono-tube coil-over shock absorbers, electronic-locking front and rear differentials, off-road tires, custom rocker guards, a spray-in bed liner, and a 48-inch Hi-Lift jack.

The Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 also features new grille and headlamp housings, a power dome-style hood, and a six-speed automatic transmission.
