Chevrolet revealed today the new 2015 Colorado during the opening day of the 2013 LA Auto Show. Chevy advertises the new 2015 Chevrolet Colorado as a midsize truck with the DNA of a full-size one. The new Chevrolet Colorado (2015) is going to be sold with a choice between two engines. The basic model of the pick-up truck is going to be powered by a 2.5-liter petrol engine that develops 193 hp and 184 lb-ft (249 Nm) from 2,000 rpm to 6,200 rpm. The new Chevy Colorado (2015) will also be available with a larger, 3.6-liter V6 engine that's rated with a power output of 302 hp and 270 lb-ft (366 Nm) of torque. From 2016, the carmaker will offer a third version of the 2015 Chevy Colorado, which is going to be powered by a 2.8-liter Duramax turbodiesel engine. Its specs have not been revealed yet.
The 2015 Chevrolet Colorado is rated with a payload capacity and trailering capacity of more than 6,700 pounds (3,039 kg).
Chevrolet is going to sell the 2015 Colorado in several cab versions, including an extended cab model with a 6-foot bed, a crew cab with a 5-foot bed and a crew cab with a 6-foot bed. There will be three trims (WT, LT and Z71) available for the new Colorado (2015) and a choice between a 2WD or 4WD drive system.
Chevrolet is going to equip the new 2015 Colorado with a CornerStep rear bumper, a EZ Lift-and-Lower tailgate, two-tier loading, thirteen standard tie-down locations, bed rail and tailgate protectors and a spray-in bed liner. The equipment list of the new 2015 Colorado includes a 9-inch diagonal color touch screen, a 3.4-inch diagonal driver information screen, OnStar and MyLink, a navigation system, four-wheel disc brakes, a coilover-type front suspension. As far as the 2015 Colorado's safety equipment list goes, we have to tell you that it will come with forward collision alert, a rear-vision camera, lane departure warning, StabiliTrak electronic stability control system with rollover mitigation, trailer sway control, hill start assist and hill descent control.
