Today at the 2011 Frankfurt auto show, Hyundai took the wraps off the latest generation 2012 i30 facelift, which will be manufactured and sold in Europe. The 2012 Hyundai i30 comes with new exterior and interior styling, and with a completely new line-up of petrol and diesel engines. Hyundai's 2012 i30 measures 4300 mm in length, 1780 mm in width, 1470 mm in height and it has a 2650 mm wheelbase. The 2012 i30 offers a 378-liter luggage compartment, when the rear seats are not folded.
Hyundai's petrol range for the 2012 i30 includes a 1.4-litre developing 100 ps (73.2 kW) at 5500 rpm and 137 Nm of torque at 4200 rpm, a 1.6-litre with 120 ps (88 kW) at 6300 rpm and 156 Nm of torque at 4850 rpm and a 1.6-litre engine
developing 135 ps (99 kW) at 6300 rpm and 164 Nm of torque at 4850 rpm. The diesel range of the 2012 i30 includes a 1.4-litre developing 90 ps (66.0 kW) at 4000 rpm and 220 Nm of torque between 1500 and 2750 rpm, a 1.6-litre with 110 ps (81.0 kW) at 4000 rpm and 260 Nm of torque between 1900 and 2750 rpm and a more powerful 1.6-litre developing 128 ps (94.0 kW) at 4000 rpm and 260 Nm of torque between 1900 and 2750 rpm. Hyundai will sell the 2012 i30 with a choice between two 6-speed transmissions, one manual and one automatic, and with front-wheel-drive only.
The 2012 Hyundai i30 will be available in a 5-door hatchback configuration only, and comes with several Blue Drive low emission technologies. the 2012 i30 with be equipped with Integrated Stop & Go (ISG) system, low-rolling resistance tires and an alternator management system. The 128 PS 1.6-litre diesel version of the new i30 emits less than 100 g/km of CO2.
The interior of Hyundai's 2012 i30 features the Flex Steer option, with three operating modes (Comfort, Normal and Sport), which can vary the level of steering assistance, and a TFT Supervision cluster. The 2012 Hyundai i30 will
also come with navigation system featuring a 7-inch touch-screen integrated into the center console. among others, Hyundai will also equip the 2012 i30 with dual-zone climate control, and a panoramic sunroof.
For increased safety, the 2012 Hyundai i30 will be shipped with ESP (Electronic Stability Program), ABS (anti-lock braking system), VSM (Vehicle Stability Management) and Emergency Stop Signal.
