Hyundai released today the initial details and a number of images of their new Blue2 sedan concept, which will have its world debut at the 2011 Seoul Motor Show. Hyundai's Blue2 concept is codenamed HND-6 and represents a mid-size FCEV (Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle). Hyundai says that, in terms of styling, the new Blue2 previews the future of the company's sedans.

The Hyundai Blue2 is powered by a fuel cell electric system with a power output of 90kW(1.65kW/L) and fuel economy of 34.9km/l. Hyundai wants the Blue2 to be sporty and luxurious while offering various eco-friendly features. To lower Blue2's fuel consumption, Hyundai equipped it with low-resistance tires and alloy wheels, which have an aerodynamic design.

For the interior of the Blue2, Hyundai says it used mostly eco-friendly new materials.

As a design innovation, the Hyundai Blue2 features exterior LED panels on both the front and rear which show the vehicle's condition. Hyundai also fitted the Blue2 that recognizes the driver, an automatic opening door system, side cameras instead of the mirrors, and a roof camera.

Hyundai combined the cluster and center fascia of the Blue2, applying an advanced Transparent

Organic Light Emitting Diode (TOLED) monitor and ultra-light tempered glass, called Gorilla Glass, providing more accurate and vivid graphic information. The infotainment system is operated by a Motion Sensor Moustick, a haptic wheel and motion sensor that respond to the driver's touch and hand movements.

For fresh air inside the cabin, the Hyundai Blue2 uses cluster ionizer, and antibacterial genuine leather.
