Hyundai i oniq Teaser

 »  »  »

The first teaser image of the Hyundai i-oniq was released today, ahead of the concept's global premiere, which will take place at the 2012 Geneva Auto Show. Unfortunately, apart from this sketch, Hyundai did not release any kind of details regarding the new i-oniq concept. The only thing they mentioned is the fact that the i-oniq was developed at the company’s European R&D center in Russelsheim, Germany.

Thomas Burkle, Hyundai’s European Chief Designer, says about the i-oniq that it has "strong arched curves", and an overall muscular look. The new concept represents yet another evolution in Hyundai’s design language, which they like to call "fluidic sculpture".

Judging from the teaser image they released, the Hyundai i-oniq is a two-door (maybe four-door) coupe, with a long bonnet and an interesting rear end design.

We'll have more details about the Hyundai i-oniq as soon as they're available.
