The new generation 2012 Subaru Impreza XV was revealed today as few patent drawings surfaced the web. The black and white renderings show in limited detail both the exterior and the interior of the 2012 Impreza XV. We're not really sure when will Subaru premiere the Impreza XV 2012, but it might be sometime this year or early in 2012. The new XV was previewed in a concept form at the Shanghai auto show this year. Judging from these patent drawings, the production version will keep close resemblance to this concept. Subaru kept even the unconventional wheel design.
The Subaru XV concept measures just under 4.5 m in length, 1.6 m in height and has a 2.6 m wheelbase.
The power comes from the 2.0-liter boxer engine, which is coupled with a CVT transmission. We can expect the 2012 Subaru Impreza XV production version to have the same powertrain.
