The first images of the latest generation 2013 Mercedes SL leaked last night, thanks to a "misplaced" brochure. The 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class is expected to have its world debut in January next year, at the Detroit auto show. As expected the front fascia of the 2013 SL is very similar to the one of its smaller brother - the 2012 Mercedes SLK. Apart from the first images of the 2013 SL-Class, the first details of the 2013 Mercedes SL also leaked today. We now know that the 2013 SL will weight a full 140 kg less than the current generation of the roadster.
The new SL is also 20% more rigid, which means it will be more agile in the corners and more stable at high speeds.
Mercedes was also concerned about the efficiency of the new SL. Apparently, the new two-door convertible will require 30% less fuel.
