Mercedes-Benz announced today the price of the new SL Class (2013) on the UK market. In Britain, the new SL Class will be offered in two versions, as the SL350 and as the top of the range SL500. The 2013 Mercedes SL350 is powered by a BlueDIRECT 3.5-litre V6 engine, which has an output of 306 hp at 6,500 rpm and 370 Nm of torque at 3,500 – 5,250 rpm. This much power is able to take the two-seater roadster from 0 to 62 mph in 5.9 seconds. IF you're interested in its economy, you'll be happy to find out that it can offer 37.7mpg in the combined cycle and that it emits 176 g/km of CO2. The 2013 Mercedes SL500 will give you a 4,663 cc BlueDIRECT V8 with an impressive output of 435 hp at 5,250 rpm and 700 Nm of torque between 1,800 rpm and 3,500 rpm. With the 2013 SL500 the 0-62 mph sprint time drops to 4.6 seconds. Both, the SL350 and the SL500 are limited to a top speed of 155 mph.
The 2013 Mercedes SL UK price list starts at £72,495 OTR for the SL350 and goes up to £83,445 OTR for the SL500. Both versions of the roadster will go on sale in the UK next month. The much-awaited SL63 AMG and SL65 AMG will go on sale later this year.
