Ducati launched at this year's edition of the Frankfurt auto show the updated 2014 899 Panigale Superbike. The 2014 Ducati 899 Panigale continues the model's initial monocoque concept, Superquadro engine and benchmark electronics. Ducati says that the new 899 Panigale (2014) represents a Supermid version of the 1199 Panigale. According to its manufacturer, the 2014 899 Panigale is a good way to access the world of Ducati Superbikes. The Ducati 899 Panigale (2014) is powered by a new Superquadro engine that develops 148hp (109kW) and 73lb-ft (10.1kgm) of torque. The new engine of the 899 Panigale comes with a revised bore and stroke. Thanks to its monocoque construction, the 2014 Ducati 899 Panigale weighs just 169kg (372.5lb).
The new 899 Panigale (2014) comes equipped with the Ducati Quick Shift (DQS), and the fully integrated Riding Mode technologies of Ride-by-Wire, triple stage ABS, Ducati Traction Control (DTC) and Engine Brake Control (EBC).
The 2014 Ducati 899 Panigale's price starts on the UK market, where it will go on sale this November, at £12,495.
