The Italian manufacturer has announced that it has offered, as a gift, two Ducati Multistrada bikes to Pope Bendictus XVI. Don't worry, the Pope will not ride them. The two Ducati Multistrada bikes will be used by the Pope's official security motorcade. Pope's Bendictus XVI Ducati Multistrada bikes have been especially prepared for security duty and will be used as escort vehicles by the Corps of Gendarmerie of Vatican City.
Pope's Ducati Multistrada bikes are powered by a 1200cc engine and feature the special livery of the Pontifical State. This will be the first time the Pope's security will use bikes and the two Ducati Multistrada will be the first ones in history to officially serve the Vatican.
The special equipment installed on the two rides includes a vertically telescopic flashing light mast, siren and radio communications systems. They can be used both as a sport bikes and touring bikes and are suitable for long journeys.
