2014 Jensen Interceptor

 »  »  »

The Jensen Interceptor was born back in 1966 as a sporty GT-class car and it was hand-built in the United Kingdom by Jensen Motors up until 1976. Healey Sports Cars Switzerland Ltd (HSCS), the current owners of the brand, announced that they have appointed CPP Global Holdings to build the new version of the Jensen Interceptor, which should go into production in 2014. CPP will develop the 2014 Jensen Interceptor in Coventry, UK, after which they will put it into production in Browns Lane.

The 2014 Jensen Interceptor is just a design concept at the moment, and previews a similar four-seat grand tourer model, as the original classic car. The 2014 Interceptor will be built on an aluminum chassis and it will receive a

hand-build body, also made of aluminum. So far, these are the only 2014 Jensen Interceptor specifications released by CPP, but we expect more in the following months. HSCS and CPP announced that they will premiere the production version of the 2014 Interceptor towards the end of next year.

In terms of exterior design, CPP tried to keep the "look and feel" of the original classic, but also gave the model advanced technologies and as the company puts it, "a contemporary edge".

We'll have more details on the new generation 2014 Jensen Interceptor as soon as they're available.
