The 2014 Kia Forte, which is also known as the Cerato on some markets, has been unveiled during the opening day of the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show. The 2014 Kia Forte comes with a fresh new exterior design, a re-styled interior, new engines and extra equipment. Kia is going to sell the new 2014 Forte (Cerato) with a choice between two engines. The LX version is going to be powered by a 1.8-liter MPI inline four-cylinder engine that develops 148 hp and 6,500 rpm and 131 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,700 rpm. The 2014 Forte LX will be available with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed automatic. The top of the range 2014 Forte EX comes with a 2.0-liter inline four cylinder GDI engine that's good for 173 hp at 6,500 rpm and 154 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,700 rpm.

The 2014 Kia Forte has more generous dimensions than its predecessors, which means it offers more space for its passengers and their luggage. The new Forte (2014) is 1.2 inches longer, 0.6 inches lower and 0.2 inches wider than the previous generation of the sedan. It comes with an updated suspension and electric power steering.

Apart from the new engines, Kia equips the new Forte sedan (2014) with loads of new equipment. The list includes SiriusXM Satellite Radio, Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control, keyless entry, and the carmaker's ISG (Idle Stop & Go) system.

The new 2014 Forte also features Kia's UVO in-vehicle infotainment system, the Flex Steer system, leather seats, a power sunroof and a 4.2-inch color LCD cluster screen.

The 2014 Kia Forte's price is going to be announced at a later date, as the new version of the sedan goes on sale early next year.
