New information regarding the future generation 2015 Ford Mustang surfaced the web today. Apparently, the Blue Oval is planning huge changes in terms of exterior design for the future Mustang. The front fascia of the future Ford Mustang (2015) will be similar to the one of the new Fusion (Mondeo on some markets). Of course, the appearance of the 2015 Mustang will be much more muscular and aggressive, but these are the general styling lines. The main reason behind this design shift is that Ford aims to make the Mustang a much more global vehicle, rather than an USA-focused muscle car. Even though the 2015 Mustang will come with a new front-end, its general proportions will remain the same. The long hood and short rear will continue to be a trademark feature of the car.
Not much is known about the engine line-up offered by the 2015 Ford Mustang. We can speculate that Ford will keep the 5.0-liter V8 petrol engine, however, the V6 might get replaced by a more efficient unit. Ford is planning to bring the 2015 Mustang into the 21st century by giving it an independent suspension. They have if they want to have any kind of success on the European market.
