Lincoln revealed this week the new generation 2015 Navigator, which will enter production towards the end of this summer. Lincoln is going to premiere the new Navigator (2015) at the Chicago Auto Show on February 6th, 2014. The 2015 Lincoln Navigator comes with a re-designed exterior and interior, new technology, higher quality materials and a new engine. The 2015 Lincoln Navigator full-size SUV is powered by a twin turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine with direct injection, which replaces the previous 5.4-liter V8, that develops 370 hp and 430 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine of the 2015 Lincoln Navigator is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission with SelectShift, which offers a manual mode too. The 2015 Navigator is going to be available with either rear-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive (with Control Trac).
Lincoln equips the 2015 Navigator with Drive Control, which adds the Continuously Controlled Damping (CCD) suspension system, and electric power-steering. The CCD offers three settings: Normal, Sport and Comfort. The 2015 Navigator is also equipped with Hill Start/Descent Assist, Nivomat (a load-leveling system), Blind Spot Information System (BLIS), a rearview camera (uses an 8-inch color touch screen), SYNC with MyLincoln Touch with a 4.2-inch LCD screen, and Illuminated "welcome mats".
There's no point in discussing the interior and exterior design changes brought by the new Lincoln Navigator (2015), since they're quite obvious if you take a look at the image gallery. However, we have to mention that the new Navigator (2015) comes with a power up/down tailgate, LED rear lights, HID headlights with LED daytime running lights, standard 20-inch alloys and optional 22-inch polished aluminum wheels.
Lincoln is going to sell the 2015 Navigator in two versions: a standard one with a 207.4-inch wheelbase and a long wheelbase (222.3 inches) one. The Reserve Package for the 2015 Lincoln Navigator includes full leather upholstery for all three rows of seats, a hand-wrapped, leather instrument panel, Ziricote wood trim parts, and a Wollsdorf leather-wrapped, wood-trimmed steering wheel.
