Aston Martin revealed this weekend the new CC100 Speedster concept, to mark their 100th anniversary. The Aston Martin CC100 Speedster has a carbon fiber body and interior, which were built by Multimatic. The power comes from the latest generation AM11 naturally aspirated 6.0-liter V12 petrol engine, which is mated to a 6-speed hydraulically actuated automated sequential manual transmission. Aston did not yet disclose the horsepower and torque output of the CC100 Speedster, but they do mention that it's able to accelerate from zero to 62 mph in a little over four seconds and that it can reach a top speed of 180 mph (290 km/h). The design of the Aston CC100 is inspired by the carmaker's past models and the DBR1. The DBR1 is Aston Martin's most successful race cars of all times.

Aston Martin CC100 Speedster made its debut by running a lap of the Nurburgring Nordschleife at the ADAC Zurich N24 race. During this lap, the CC100 Speedster was accompanied by the 1959 DBR1, which was driven by legendary Sir Stirling Moss. The CC100 was driven by Aston Martin's CEO, Dr. Ulrich Bez.

Aston Martin developed and built the one-off CC100 Speedster in less than six months, which is quite an achievement. The CC100 measures 4.5 m in length, and more than 2 meters in width.

We'll have more details and specifications of the Aston Martin CC100 Speedster as soon as they're available.
