Audi Quattro Concept In Production

The Ingolstadt will actually go through with it and put the Audi Quattro Concept in production. The question is, will the new production Audi Quattro Concept live up to the celebrity status of its predecessor? Let's hope it will. It does have all the ingredients to become great... Unveiled in Paris last week, the Audi Quattro Concept is set to go into limited production for which Audi will build a dedicated line. The Audi Quattro Concept will actually go into production at one of the company's newly acquired plants - the ItalDesign in Milan.

The Audi Quattro Concept is based on the A5 which has received a shortened body and chassis and weighs only 1,300 kg. The power of the Audi Quattro Concept comes from a 2.5-liter turbo

engine developing 408 hp and 480 Nm of torque. The manufacturer says the Audi Quattro Concept can reach 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, and we bet the production version will do too.

The production version of the Audi Quattro Concept will be a 2.5-liter turbocharged all-wheel-drive short-wheel-base performance car. Can you see a pattern here? Maybe a WRC oriented pattern? How about an Audi re-entry into the World Rally Championship with the same type of car that made all-wheel-drive a must in rallying? we'll have to wait and see.

Apart from these speculations, the production version of the Audi Quattro will be limited to 200-500 unit and its price will be set lower than the 100,000 EUR mark.
