Unveiled in Paris last week, the Audi Quattro Concept is set to go into limited production for which Audi will build a dedicated line. The Audi Quattro Concept will actually go into production at one of the company's newly acquired plants - the ItalDesign in Milan.
The Audi Quattro Concept is based on the A5 which has received a shortened body and chassis and weighs only 1,300 kg. The power of the Audi Quattro Concept comes from a 2.5-liter turbo
engine developing 408 hp and 480 Nm of torque. The manufacturer says the Audi Quattro Concept can reach 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, and we bet the production version will do too.
The production version of the Audi Quattro Concept will be a 2.5-liter turbocharged all-wheel-drive short-wheel-base performance car. Can you see a pattern here? Maybe a WRC oriented pattern? How about an Audi re-entry into the World Rally Championship with the same type of car that made all-wheel-drive a must in rallying? we'll have to wait and see.
Apart from these speculations, the production version of the Audi Quattro will be limited to 200-500 unit and its price will be set lower than the 100,000 EUR mark.
