Various sources are reporting today that the Audi R8 facelift, which should come on the market in 2012 as a 2013 model, will be more powerful than the current model. Apart from the extra power, the facelifted R8 will also come with a slightly updated exterior design. The Audi R8 V8 facelift will output 20 hp more from the same 4.2-liter engine, for a total of 444 hp.
The 2013 Audi R8 V10 facelift will feature a new 7-speed dual-clutch S-tronic transmission and bit more power than the current version. Even thought the 5.2-liter V10 engine will remain the same, the output will be raised to 533 hp.
The updated version of the Audi R8 facelift will be joined later, by the GT and GT Spyder models.
