The BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe's UK price list was announced today, as the new model prepares to go on sale next month. The 6 Series Gran Coupe is BMW's first four-door coupe, representing a new rival for the Mercedes CLS and the Audi A7. The Bavarian carmaker's third 6 Series version combines the elegance of a coupe with the space and comfort of an executive sedan. BMW's four-door 6 Series is going to be available with a choice between three engines, including a newly developed 450hp V8 engine in the 650i Gran Coupe. This is the top of the range model, which is able to get from nought to 62 mph in just 4.6 seconds. Its top speed is limited to 155 mph, of course. The BMW 640i Gran Coupe has a 6-cylinder turbocharged engine with an output of 320 hp, while the only diesel version, the 640d Gran Coupe, has an output of 313 hp and 630 Nm of torque.
All three versions of the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe sold in Britain are equipped with 8-speed automatic gearbox, and an Auto Start-Stop system for reduced fuel consumption. The BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe's price starts at £61,390 OTR for the 640i and goes up to £63,900 OTR for the 640d. The top of the range 650i will cost you at least £70,650 OTR.
