BMW revealed today the new 2 Series Convertible, which it will go on sale at the beginning of 2015 (28 February, 2015 in the UK). BMW is going to sell the new convertible 2 Series with the same range of engines as the coupe. This means that the BMW 2 Series cabrio is going to be available as the M235i, the 228i, the 220i and the 220d. The convertible version of the 2 Series Bimmer comes with an electrically operated folding soft top that can be lowered or raised in just 20 seconds at speeds of up to 30 mph (45 km/h). The new top of the 2 Series convertible offers a 4db noise reduction and improved aerodynamics, the cabriolet having a Cd of just 0.31. With the top down, the 2 Series Convertible has a 335-liter luggage capacity.
Apart from the folding roof, the BMW 2 Series Convertible has basically the same specifications and equipment list as the coupe.
