AC Schnitzer presented recently the ACL2 aftermarket program for the BMW M235i, which includes both a wide body kit and a powerkit. AC Schnitzer's powerkit for the BMW M235i include an engine replacement. As a result, their M235i now hides under its hood the same engine as the one powering the BMW M4. AC Schnitzer's powerkit for the M235i also include a reprogrammed ECU, an optimized carbon fiber intake system, a lightweight battery, a sports exhaust system with a special catalytic converter (200 cpsi) and carbon tailpipes and a downpipe. As a result, AC Schnitzer's BMW M235i develops a massive 411 kW / 570 hp and 740 Nm of torque. Thanks to the extra power, this modified M235i is able to accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.9 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 330 km/h.
AC Schnitzer's wide body kit for the BMW M235i is made of carbon fiber. It includes a new front bumper, a front splitter, fins for the front wings, side skirts, a modified rear apron with an integrated diffuser and a boot lid wing. AC Schnitzer's BMW M235i also features wider wheel arches with stabilizer fins, a modified hood with vents for cooling the engine bay, and re-styled side mirror casings. AC Schnitzer's M235i is 140 mm wider than the standard version of the coupe.
The list of modifications does not stop here. AC Schnitzer equips their BMW M235i with a rear limited slip differential with a Drexler diff lock from 25 to 95 percent, bigger brakes (6-piston calipers with 400 x 38 mm carbon ceramic brake discs at the front and 4-piston calipers with 380 x 28 mm discs at the rear), M4 axles, a fully adjustable sport suspension, and M4 carbon strut braces.
For the interior of the BMW M235i, AC Schnitzer is offering a special control display that shows the oil temperature, the intake air temperature, the boost pressure and other information, aluminum pedals, sport bucket seats, a sports steering wheel, and illuminated door sills. AC Schnitzer did not disclose the price of the ACL2 program for the BMW M235i.
