Various sources are reporting today that the BMW M2 is going to be launch by the end of the year. Apparently, the world debut of the BMW M2 is expected to take place at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show this November. Unofficial sources indicate that the M2 Bimmer will go on sale this October at a price starting at just under 55,000 EUR. On the other hand, some sources report that the BMW M2's global unveiling might also take place at the 2016 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), which means it will go on sale sometime next summer. In any case, expect to be able to buy an M2 Bimmer in less than a year from now. The BMW M@ is going to be powered by the same 3.0-liter petrol engine as the M235i, but it will develop a bit more power.
Early indications say the M2 is going to deliver close to 370 hp and 460 Nm of torque. This means that the BMW M2 will be able to accelerate from zero to 62 mph in less than 5.0 seconds. Its top speed will probably be electronically limited to 155 mph (250 km/h). We will have more details about the M2 in the following weeks.
