BMW revealed today the new M Performance parts range for the latest version of the 2 Series Convertible. The new BMW 2 Series Convertible M Performance parts range includes both performance and styling upgrades. For starters, the BMW 220d Convertible, when equipped with the M Performance power package, develops 151 kW/204 hp, which is an extra 11 kW/14 hp. Thanks to the extra horsepower, the BMW 220d M Performance is able to get from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) 0.3 seconds faster than the standard version of the convertible. This power pack includes a reprogrammed ECU, and a larger intercooler. The car's fuel consumption and CO2 emissions remain the same. Other performance parts offered by the new M package for the 2 Series convertible Bimmer include a limited-slip differential, and bigger brakes.
For the exterior of the BMW 2 Series Convertible, the M Performance parts range includes a rear diffuser, carbon side mirror caps, a new front grille, 19-inch alloys, and distinctive stainless steel tail pipes. The M Performance interior parts include carbon fiber trim elements, Alcantara upholstery, a sport steering wheel with an integrated Race Display, LED door sill plates and other parts.
The price of the M Performance range for the BMW 2 Series Cabrio has not been announced yet.
