Bentley revealed today the new Mulsanne Speed, which, judging from its specs sheet and its equipment list, is going to be the top-of-the-range version of the model. The Bentley Mulsanne Speed is powered by a 6.75-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine that develops 537 PS / 530 bhp / 395 kW at 4,200 rpm and 1,100 Nm / 811 lb.ft of torque at 1,750 rpm. The engine of Bentley's Mulsanne Speed is mated to a ZF 8-speed automatic with transmission with Quickshift, Block Shifting and wheel-mounted paddle shifters. The power goes to the rear wheels. According to Bentley's official specifications, the Mulsanne Speed is able to accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 4.8 seconds, from nought to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, and from zero to 100 mph in 11.1 seconds.
The top speed of the Mulsanne Speed is rated at 190 mph / 305 km/h.
In comparison to the regular Bentley Mulsanne, the speed comes with a sportier suspension, more precise steering, and distinctive styling. The Mulsanne Speed allows the driver to choose between several settings of the suspension, engine and steering systems.
In terms of styling, the Bentley Mulsanne Speed comes with dark grilles, tinted headlights and tail lights, distinctive 21-inch wheels, and Twin rifled exhaust tailpipes.
