Cadillac has decided to take on the European big boys and to bring the CTS-V on the old continent. The Cadillac CTS-V will go on sale on the EU market this fall, and we have to say, it faces a tough challenge. On one hand, the CTS-V aims to go into battle against the likes of the BMW M5, the Mercedes E63 AMG and the Audi RS6 on their home "playground". On the other hand, it's the first time the M5, the E63 and the RS6 have a true challenger. Here are the technical details. The Cadillac CTS-V packs a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine that puts out 640 hp and 855 Nm of torque. According to the official specs, the CTS-V manages to sprint from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.7 seconds and to top at 200 mph (320 km/h). It comes with Brembo brakes, Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, and quite a bit of carbon fiber.
In Germany, the Cadillac CTS-V's price is going to start at 98,500 EUR. Unfortunately, so far, Cadillac did not disclose the price list of the CTS-V's optional extras. But they do mention that they've already started taking orders for the new high-performance sedan.
