The German aftermarket specialists from Carlsson revealed today their new tuning program for the Mercedes S Class type W/V 221. Carlsson's Mercedes S Class program offers power upgrades for the various versions of the luxury sedan, together with new aerodynamics and various interior modifications. The Carlsson Mercedes S600 L is powered by the factory 12-cylinder bi-turbo engine that's been tuned to develop 600 hp (441kW) and 1024 Nm of torque. The torque output is electronically limited for various reasons. To get the extra power out of the S600 L, Carlsson gave it an optimized engine management system, a sports air filter and a sport exhaust system. As a result, the Carlsson S600 L is able to get from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.3 seconds and up to a top speed of 320 km/h.
Carlsson offers power upgrades for all the engines on the Mercedes S Class, including the 6-, 8-, and 12-cylinder units, together with the diesel models. The Carlsson Mercedes S63 AMG develops 685 hp (504 kW).
Carlsson's body kit for the S Class includes a front spoiler lip, sparkles with the tuner's logo, electro-polished stainless steel front grille inserts, side skirts, a rear apron and spoiler. The Mercedes S Class from Carlsson features the C-Tronic SUSPENSION that lowers the ride height by 30 mm, 20 inch light alloy wheels, and high-performance Dunlop tires.
For the interior of the S Class, Carlsson offers a leather upholstery, and illuminated door sills.
