The first images and details of the Carrozzeria Touring Disco Volante leaked this week, ahead of the concept's debut next week in Geneva. The concept is obviously inspired by the Alfa Romeo Disco Volante, which was introduced for the first time back in 1952. Is Alfa Romeo thinking of bringing back the Disco Volante, or is Carrozzeria Touring thinking of doing it by itself? In any case, the new (2012) Disco Volante concept is meant to celebrate the 60 years that passed since the model first saw the light of day.
The Carrozzeria Touring Disco Volante features a beautiful exterior design, and rumor has it that it's based on the Alfa 8C Competizione.
If this is the case, it means it also has a pretty serious engine under that attractive aluminum shell.
Carrozzeria Touring will release all the details o the new Disco Volante (2012) next week in Geneva.
