The official website of the British sports car manufacturer displays a Caterham Superlight R500 teaser image. Apart from the Caterham Superlight R500 teaser image any other information is classfied.
At the end of February however Caterham released the Seven RS that is powered by a 2.4 liter engine that in the supercharged version develops 500 hp. With this in mind we might speculate that the Caterham Superlight R500 may be a light-weight version of the supercharged Seven RS.
The Seven RS already has a power to weight ratio of 1000 hp per tone (double the one of the Veyron), so imagine the kind of performance a light-weight version (the Caterham Superlight R500) might deliver.
