Zenos E10 Teased

Zenos Cars, a new British carmaker led by Caterham's former boss Ansar Ali, revealed recently the first teaser images of their new E10 sportscar. Judging from the few images they released, the Zenos E10 is going to be available in three body versions: a coupe, a spider and what seems to be a track car. The Zenos E10 is going to have a mid-engine rear-wheel-drive architecture and it's going to be powered by a 2.0-liter engine sourced from Ford. The E10's engine is expected to output 197 bhp and 210 Nm of torque and it's going to be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. No bigger than a Lotus Elise, the Zenos E10 is expected to weigh less than 650 kg. Zenos plans to build the E10 on an innovative chassis, featuring an aluminum spine and tubes made of recycled carbon fiber.

One of the reasons Zenos chose this type of chassis is that it's less expensive to repair than KTM X-Bow's carbon and Elise's bonded aluminum structures.

The world debut of the Zenos E10 is scheduled to take place this January, at Autosport International Show. Zenos announced that it's going to reveal more details about the E10 at that time.
