It appears that the German car maker has released a second Gumpert Tornante teaser image which, although partially in the dark, reveals more than the sketch released earlier. Unfortunately, there are now new details to go with it. What we know so far is that the Gumpert Tornante will hide in its belly a 4.2 liter V8 engine developing 700 hp, which will be linked to a TT40e transmission with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters. The Gumpert Tornante will have a mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive architecture, and will grab the road with the same double-wishbone suspension as the Apollo does.
The keep the Gumpert Tornante lightweight, the manufacturer built it on a chrome-molybdenum steel space frame and gave it a carbon fiber monocoque.
