Gumpert, the German manufacturers of the Apollo, announced today they're new model - the Gumpert Tornante by Touring. The Gumpert Tornante by Touring will have its world debut at the Geneva auto show. Unfortunately, at this moment, the manufacturer did not release any images of the new Gumpert Tornante by Touring.

The new Gumpert Tornante by Touring will be a 2-seater Fast Tourer built on a new architecture and a new central engine chassis. The Gumpert Tornante by Touring will be powered by a V8 engine. Further specs and details of the car will be revealed at the time of its premiere.

Gumpert is known for making track cars which are also legal for public street driving.

With the new Gumpert Tornante by Touring they're taking a more comfortable attitude towards performance. According to the official information, the Italian designer had to give the Gumpert Tornante by Touring spacious, elegant, and comfortable characteristics.

The Gumpert Tornante by Touring features the original Superleggera construction principle, with composite body panels on a space frame with carbon fiber monocoque.

The world premiere of the new Gumpert Tornante by Touring will take place on March 1, 2011, when we'll also have its full details.

TOURING SUPERLEGGERA was commissioned by GUMPERT to design their upcoming new model, a 2-seater

Fast Tourer based on a new central engine chassis and V8-powered driveline. After setting new benchmarks for driving dynamics of street legal cars with the apollo, GUMPERT requested the Milanese designer to add space, elegance and comfort to their typical sheer performance attitude. The result is a blend of very Italian sporty elegance and German high-end engineering.

The GUMPERT TORNANTE by TOURING opens a new class of automobiles born for the extremely dynamic and fast voyage, the Fast Tourers. The Tornante features the original Superleggera construction

principle: composite body panels on a space frame with carbon fiber monocoque. The car will be unveiled on March 1st 2011 at the Geneva Motor Show.
