Composite Worx's Lotus Extrema is based on an Exige that had its engine replaced with a monster LS9 V8 taken from a Chevrolet Corvette. With a weight of just 970kg and an output of 649bhp, the Composite Worx Lotus Extrema is quite a serious tool for the track. It can accelerate from nought to 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds and from zero to 100 mph in just 7 seconds. Composite Worx says that the top speed of the Lotus Extrema is around 200 mph (320 km/h). It comes with a carbon fiber body and special sport bucket seats, which are available in carbon or a combination of carbon and Kevlar. Apart from the huge engine under its hood, the Lotus Extrema is also equipped with modified aerodynamics.

In comparison to the Exige, the Lotus Extrema from with a new front spoiler, a modified hood with larger air vents for cooling the engine, re-styled side skirts and a huge rear wing.

Composite Worx did not disclose the price of the Lotus Extrema.
