Eagle announced today the development of the lightweight Jaguar E-Type Speedster concept, which will have its world debut at the Salon Privee at the Hurlingham Club on the 22nd of July. The new Eagle Speedster is based on an authentic 1960s Jaguar E-Type, which went through extensive modifications that give a more muscular look and extra horsepower. The Eagle E-Type Speedster measures 4260mm in length, 1740mm in width and 1000mm height and has a dry weight of 1008kg.

The heart of Eagle's Jaguar E-Type Speedster is a 4.7-litre, in-line 6-cylinder engine with an output of 310 bhp at 4800rpm and 340 lb-ft of torque at 3600rpm. The engine of the Eagle E-Type Speedster features aluminum twin-cam big valve

cylinder heads, a fuel injection system with individual throttle bodies and an ECU. The engine sends its power to the rear wheels via a 5-speed transmission.

The Eagle Jaguar E-Type Speedster comes with a Power Lock differential, an independent wishbone suspension with six adjustable dampers, anti-roll bars and rear radius arms, and a rack and pinion steering system.

Eagle's official performance figures say the Speedster E-Type is able to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in under 5 seconds and that it has a top speed of more than 160 mph.

The price of the Eagle Jaguar E-Type Speedster will be announced at a later date.
