The new Lamborghini Egoista concept was unveiled last weekend and it represents Walter De Silva's homage for the Italian carmaker's 50th anniversary. Walter De Silva is Volkswagen Group's Head of Design. The Lamborghini Egoista ("Selfish" in Italian) is a single-seater designed for those customers who are looking for the most extreme and special things in the world. The exterior of the Lambo Egoista was designed by Alessandro Dambrosio, while the interior was styled by Stefan Sielaff. To power the Egoista, Lamborghini chose the 5.2-liter V10 engine, which is good for 600 hp. The cockpit of the Lamborghini Egoista was designed to fit the driver as a tailor-made suit. The cockpit, which is made from carbon fiber and aluminum, is basically a removable section.

The inspiration for it came from the Apache helicopter, which has a cockpit that can be ejected in an emergency.

The Lamborghini Egoista comes with a muscular exterior design, and it's inspired by a bull preparing to charge. The Egoista comes with a carbon fiber hood, active aerodynamic flaps integrated into the bodywork, and rear flaps that activate automatically at high speeds. The front of the Egoista is designed to increase downforce, but its rear is completely exposed to allow the engine to be seen.

The Lamborghini Egoista's lights have been designed with airplane regulations in mind so that the supercar can be positioned in a three dimensional space. The Egoista comes with tw0 white front lights, two red rear ones, a red flashing light in the upper part of the tail, two orange bull's eyes as side markers, and a further two lights on the roof, red on the left and green on the right. Lamborghini also equipped the Egoista with two xenon headlamps. The body of the Egoista, as well as its wells, is made from a special antiradar material. It also features anti-glare glass.

For the interior of the Egoista, Lamborghini chose a racing seat with a four-point seatbelt, airbags and a head-up display. Its steering wheel must be removed in order to enter and exit the supercar.

Lamborghini says that the Egoista is a concept which no one can ever possess. This means that they will never build it, or sell it.
