Lexus RC F Revealed

 »  »  »

Lexus revealed today the high-performance version of the RC, which as you're probably expecting, is called the RC F. The Lexus RC F comes with the most powerful V8 engine ever produced by the company. It's a 5.0-litre that spits out 450 bhp. In comparison to the basic version of the model, the RC F features wider wheels and tires, an active rear wing, air scoops, cooling ducts and carbon fiber body parts. There's no point in blabbering about the design of the Lexus RC F, since the images do all the talking. However, we must point out that some of its body parts are aerodynamically optimized. These include, among others, the active rear wing that automatically deploys at 50mph (80km/h) and retracts when speed falls below 25mph (40km/h). Some of the RC F's design cues come from the LFA supercar.

Lexus is going to sell the RC F with a choice between 19- and 20-inch light alloy wheels.

For the interior of the RC F, Lexus designed unique parts, including the dials, the steering wheel, the seats, the pedals and various trim parts. The RC F's central dial automatically adapts to the coupe's four driving modes.

The world debut of the Lexus RC F is going to take place next week, at the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. We'll have more information about the RC F at that time.
