Mercedes presented the F015 Luxury in Motion concept at this year's CES. Since this is the CES (Consumer Electronics Show), the Mercedes F015 comes with more gadgets and gizmos than Starship Enterprise. However, from a car point of view, we had a difficult time finding a good looking picture of the F015 to go with this article. Seriously! What were they thinking? Mercedes calls the F015 a "self-driving luxury sedan". Basically, judging from the images released by Mercedes, the F015 is a luxurious conference room on wheels. It comes with all the technological innovations you can think of, but unfortunately, Mercedes did not disclose a lot of details about them. We're sure the customers who would be in the market for such a vehicle are not interested in power or performance, but for the sake of it, here they are.
The power comes from two rear-mounted electric motors that put out a total of 268 bhp and just shy of 400 Nm of torque. According to the official specifications, the Mercedes F015 is able to accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 6.7 seconds. It can reach a top speed of 200 km/h.
As you're probably expecting, Mercedes will not put the F015 into production. However, some of its technology might make it into future production models.
