Mercedes revealed this week the new G-Code concept, which could preview a future crossover that will sit just below the new GLA. The Mercedes G-Code is a SUC (Sports Utility Coupe) that measures 4.1 m in length, 1.9 m in width and 1.5 m in height. It has a 2+2 seating configuration and a front-engine font all-drive architecture. The Mercedes G-Code is powered by a plug-in hybrid drive system with a long range. The G-Code features massive 21-inch alloys with carbon-fiber spokes, a ground clearance, short overhangs, and underride guards. One of the most interesting design features of the Mercedes G-Code is its "warp drive", which was inspired by the Star Trek TV series and the Starship Enterprise. The front grille features a continuous display.

The engine is cooled by means of innovative air deflection via apertures in the side and at the bottom of the front. The front display visualizes the current operating mode of the G‑Code: parked, all-electric HYBRID eDrive mode, mixed HYBRID eco mode and HYBRID sport mode.

The Mercedes G-Code features a so-called "digital prop shaft". It enables it to run as a front-wheel drive vehicle with an internal combustion engine, as an all-electric rear-wheel drive vehicle or fully variable in all-wheel drive mode. Here are the full details and specifications of the Mercedes G-Code.
