The first images of the Mercedes F125 leaked today, ahead of the concepts official debut tomorrow, in Frankfurt. A full video presentation of the Mercedes F125 concept is also available. Merc's new F125 concept is basically a design study, but some of its styling features will make their way into future production models. The F125 is a two-door coupe, that keeps some resemblance to the Mercedes CL, especially when viewed from the side. The F125 concept will eventually end up as a four-seat sedan, with a rather generous luggage compartment of 470 liters. The weighs 1,700 kg, thanks to an carbon fiber-reinforced plastic and aluminum construction, and it's powered by an electric drivetrain.
Mercedes fitted the F125 with a hydrogen fuel-cell, which supplies the electricity required by
the electric motor. Apparently, the F125 concept develops 231 hp and it's able to get from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.9 seconds. with a top speed of 137 mph, the Mercedes F125 has a range of up to 620 miles. It's fuel consumption is rated at 74 mpg (hydrogen gas and not petrol). The fuel cell is filled with it at a pressure of 10,000 psi.
