Mercedes revealed this week the GLE coupe, which is basically Daimler's reply to BMW's X6. The Mercedes GLE measures 4,900 mm in length, 2,003 in width and 1,731 mm in height. It has a 2,915 mm long wheelbase. All versions of the Mercedes GLE are going to be sold with the carmaker's 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system and the 9G-TRONIC nine-speed automatic transmission. Apart from the standard equipment, the Mercedes GLE range is going to offer the DYNAMIC SELECT dynamic handling control system, the Sports Direct-Steer system and the driver assistance systems. The top of the range version is the Mercedes GLE450 AMG. The GLE450 AMG is powered by a 3.0-liter V6 biturbo petrol engine that develops 270 kW / 367 hp at 5,500 rpm and 520 Nm of torque between 1,400 rpm and 4,000 rpm.

There are two other engines available for the Mercedes GLE. These include the GLE350d and the GLE400.

According to the official specifications, the Mercedes GLE350 d 4MATIC's 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine develops 190 kW / 258 hp at 3,600 rpm and 620 Nm of torque between 1,600 rpm and 2,400 rpm. The Mercedes GLE400 is powered by a V6 biturbo petrol engine that puts out 245 kW / 333 hp and 480 Nm of torque.
