Mercedes unveiled this week the 2012 version of the S Class Grand Edition to celebrate the 60 years that passed since the model first entered the market. The Grand Edition S Class was developed by the AMG PERFORMANCE STUDIO and features a new aerodynamics package. Various interior personalization options are also available. Merc's new S Class Grand Edition features a new front spoiler with integrated LED daytime running lights and a lower air intake, new side skirts, a rear apron, and a re-styled rear bumper.

The Grand Edition S Class sits on 19 inch AMG wheels with a double five-spoke design, and features 350 mm brake discs with 6-piston calipers at the rear and 8-piston ones at the

front. Mercedes will sell the S Class Grand Edition as either the S250 CDI (150 kW / 204 hp), or the S350 BlueTEC (190 kW / 258 hp), or the S350 BlueEFFICIENCY (225 kW / 306 hp).

The interior of the Mercedes S Class Grand Edition features a leather steering wheel, stainless-steel pedals, and various wood styling inserts.

Mercedes will announce the price list for the S Class Grand Edition at a later date.
