Nissan Juke R Into Production

After waiting for several months, in which time the Nissan Juke-R gathered a massive amount of fans, the Japanese carmaker has decided to put it into production. Unfortunately, Nissan will build the Juke-R in limited numbers, on build-to-order basis. There's more good news. The Juke-R prototype is based on the 2010 version of the GT-R. The production version of the Juke-R will be even more powerful, as it will be based on the 2012 version of the GT-R. The 2012 GT-R has an output of 550 hp and needs just 2.8 seconds to get from nought to 62 mph (100 km/h). Nissan says they will be accepting orders for the Juke-R in the following four weeks. However, they "forgot" to mention its price. The first three production Juke-R crossovers will be delivered early this summer.

Little Godzilla features the same drivetrain and chassis as the 2012 Nissan GT-R. Apart from that, the Juke-R also comes with various interior parts transferred from the GT-R. Even though it has the same internals as the GT-R, the Juke-R does not have the same amazing performance figures. The prototype is rated with 3.7 seconds for the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint and with a top speed of 257 km/h. The production version of the Nissan Juke-R will be a bit faster than that.
