The Nissan Juke-R was revealed today, with RML, the company that developed it, releasing its full details and images. The Nissan Juke-R is the baddest crossover you'll ever see. It's powered by the same powertrain as the Nissan's GT-R supercar, which has been adapted to fit inside the standard Juke. This means that the Juke-R Nissan has a 3.8-litre twin turbo V6 engine with an output of 480bhp and an all-wheel-drive system. Nissan also announced today that the Juke-R will begin testing this month. Initially, the Juke-R will be built in only two units, with LHD and RHD. If enough customers will express their wish to buy one, Nissan will probably put the Juke-R into production.
The Nissan Juke-R is equipped with the same transmission, suspension and AWD system as the GT-R.
It also borrows the GT-R's dashboard, electronics, telematics and other components. The Juke-R also comes with new aerodynamics, and it features subtle submerged ducts under the bonnet circulate air through its engine bay. In comparison to the standard Juke, the Juke-R has wider wheel arches, to accommodate its 20-inch RAYS forged alloy wheels, new side skirts, re-designed front and rear bumpers and a rear roof wing.
At the interior, the motorcycle-inspired center console of the standard Juke is about the only component still used in the Juke-R.
The high-performance crossover comes with a full roll-cage, sport bucket seats, and a full race harness. The GT-R's steering wheel, its pedals, dials and 7-inch touch-screen display are all transferred into the Juke-R.
We'll have more details on the Juke-R as soon as they're available. Meanwhile, browse the related videos section to the right, incase you missed the Juke-R's build videos.
