Nissan Juke R Revealed

 »  »  »

The Nissan Juke-R was premiered last night in Britain, at a special event, which also marked the launch of the 1.6dCi engine for the Qashqai. The Nissan Juke-R was revealed in front of a select number of journalists, who had the chance of seeing the high-performance crossover for the first time. We said they "saw" it, because none of them was allowed to drive it yet. Up until this moment, Nissan did not release new information regarding the Juke-R, but we hope they'll do so soon.

Nissan's Juke-R is powered by the same engine as the GT-R supercar. The motor is tuned to output 480 bhp, and Nissan hopes it will be enough for the Juke-R to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in around 4 seconds.

The Nissan Juke-R will be built in two units, a right-hand-drive one and a left-hand-drive version. So far, Nissan doesn't have any plans to put it into mass production. However, if there will be a serious demand for such a vehicle, they'll probably do it.

We'll have more details on the Nissan Juke-R as soon as the company makes them available.
