The third Nissan Juke-R video was released today, as the engineers from RML (Ray Mallock Limited) start building the new "hot crossover". Nissan tested the way the GT-R's powertrain performs with the shortened wheelbase, and announced they are pleased with the results. Since this was the trickiest part of building the Juke-R, Nissan can go on and start manufacturing the crossover's roll cage and other components. The next steps of the Juke-R's development process include the building of the structure, which will house its engine, drivetrain and other mechanical parts.
The Nissan Juke-R is currently considered a one-off vehicle. However, Nissan might put it into production in case the demand will be strong.
As its name implies, Nissan's Juke-R is powered by the same engine, transmission and all-wheel-drive systems as the GT-R supercar. It has new aerodynamics, upgraded suspension and brakes, and it will even feature GT-R's center console and dashboard.
